One-Family Morris Minor Collected near Clyro, Delivered to Llanwarne

    By Ian

Pale blue Morris Minor secured on Ian's transporter near Clyro, on its way to Llanwarne as a parts donor car

Lovely little job today with a real story behind it — a Morris Minor collected from Peter near Clyro, just over the Welsh border in Powys, and delivered down to Chris in Llanwarne, Herefordshire.

This one had been Peter's father's car and had stayed in the family from new — you can't ask for better history than that. It's looking a bit weather-worn these days, but with genuinely low mileage it's exactly the sort of car the classic scene loves to see passed on rather than scrapped. Chris bought it specifically for the engine and interior, both of which will go on to keep another Minor on the road for years to come.

Loaded gently on the flat bed at Peter's place, strapped down with soft wheel straps so nothing pulled on the tired bodywork, then a steady run across the border to Llanwarne.

Project cars, parts donors and barn finds

Some of the most interesting jobs are the unrestored ones — the cars that have sat for years, the parts donors, the long-term projects finally moving on:

    • Non-runners and seized engines — winched on and off with care
    • Original paint and tired bodywork — no chains, no hard straps
    • Family-owned classics — treated with the respect they deserve
    • Parts cars — moved whole so the new owner can pick the best of it
